Herbal Flush for KIDS! - Quarterly Detox for Parasites, Metals and Toxins
$30.00
Regular price $25.77
Ten wildcrafted or organic herbs, garlic-forward, packaged by the child's weight. Same three-times-a-year schedule as the adult version, without cascara sagrada or wormwood. For children 2 to 12, with their provider in the loop.
Packages sized to the child closest to 30, 60, 90, or 120 lb. One month on, three months off.
- Wildcrafted or Organic
- Non-GMO
- 10 Herbs
- Weight-Sized Packages
- Ages 2-12
- No Cascara Sagrada
- No Wormwood
- No Fillers
- No Flow Agents
Why people use it
- Ten herbs, not twenty. The two harshest are left out: cascara sagrada, which FDA removed from over-the-counter laxative use in 2002, and wormwood.
- The rest are dosed by weight and by your provider's judgment, which is why this is a provider conversation.
- Sized by weight, not by age. Four package sizes, proportioned so the 60 lb version is double the 30 lb version.
- A schedule with a rest period built in. One month on, three months off, three times a year. These herbs are not for daily use, and the gut gets the gap.
- Supports the body's own elimination pathways during the window. Yellow dock carries anthraquinones and supports normal bowel regularity. Expect that to be the visible part, watch fluids closely, and treat loose stools as a reason to check in.
What's in the blend
This is a proprietary blend, so no herb can be quantified per dose.
| Ingredient | What it contributes |
|---|---|
| Garlic | The base of the blend, and the herb here with the most human research behind it. |
| Yellow dock root | Anthraquinones - roughly 2 percent of the root - plus oxalates. This is the group that moves the bowel. Not for children under 2. |
| Black walnut | A tree nut, carrying juglone and tannins. If your child is allergic to tree nuts, do not use this product. |
| Peppermint, thyme, cloves, cayenne | Aromatic and warming herbs, traditionally used to carry a formula and support digestion. A child's amount here is scaled to their weight. |
| Milk thistle, pau d'arco, marshmallow | Milk thistle contributes silymarin, the constituent tested across 41 randomized adult trials for normal liver enzyme markers. Pau d'arco is a traditional alterative bark. Marshmallow root is a demulcent that coats and soothes. |
No amounts are disclosed for any herb, and the studies in the research drop-down were all conducted in adults - treat them as background on the individual herbs, never as evidence about children.
How to use
- Talk to your child's provider first. These are adult-studied herbs scaled by weight, and the routine is meant to be supervised.
- Choose the package closest to your child's weight.
- Give half of the dose listed on the package, then the other half at least 12 hours later - either before food or 1 to 2 hours after it.
- Continue daily until the bag is finished, then stop for three months.
- Offer plenty of water throughout. Children dehydrate faster than adults, and this blend increases fluid loss.
- Never run this and the adult Herbal Flush in the same month.

Who it's for — and who it isn't
Good fit for:
- Families who already run a seasonal herbal routine and want the children's version on the same calendar
- Households that want the two hardest-limited herbs left out of a child's blend
Probably not for you if:
- Your child is under 2, or over 12. This is formulated for ages 2 to 12 only; adults use the adult version.
- Your child is allergic to tree nuts. This contains black walnut, and walnut anaphylaxis is documented. Email us for the modified recipe rather than testing it.
Testing & quality
Every product is lab tested. Certificates of analysis on request, about a two-week turnaround. Herbs are sourced wildcrafted or organic and non-GMO. Email us with your lot number and we'll send what we hold.
The research behind the ingredients
Published research on the ingredients in this product, for education. These studies were not conducted on this product.
Garlic (Allium sativum)
Garlic supplementation meta-analysis, 2023
BMC Complementary Medicine and Therapies · 2023 · systematic review and meta-analysis · n=19 RCTs, 999 participants
Pooling 19 randomized controlled trials in 999 adults, garlic supplementation significantly lowered triglycerides, total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, diastolic blood pressure, BMI and waist circumference versus placebo, with the authors noting substantial heterogeneity and possible publication bias.
Milk Thistle (Silybum marianum / silymarin)
Silymarin liver-marker meta-analysis, 2024
Phytotherapy Research · 2024 · systematic review and dose-response meta-analysis · n=41 RCTs
Pooling 41 randomized controlled trials, silymarin supplementation significantly lowered serum alkaline phosphatase, ALT, AST and creatinine and raised serum glutathione, with the clearest effects at higher doses taken for 12 weeks or longer and no demonstrated benefit for kidney function.
Peppermint (Mentha piperita)
Peppermint oil digestive comfort meta-analysis, 2019
BMC Complementary and Alternative Medicine · 2019 · systematic review and meta-analysis · n=12 RCTs, 835 patients
Pooling 12 randomized trials in 835 adults, peppermint oil was more than twice as likely as placebo to improve global gastrointestinal symptoms (RR 2.39) and improved abdominal pain (RR 1.78), with adverse events no more frequent than placebo.
Evidence note: Moderate for the individual herbs, adult-only in population: garlic, milk thistle and peppermint each have solid randomized evidence, every trial located was conducted in adults, and none tested a multi-herb blend. Because this product is made for children aged 2-12 at weight-scaled amounts, read the adult evidence as background on the individual herbs. Trials in children at weight-scaled amounts have not been done, which is why the routine is provider-supervised.
A note on iron
Iron is essential, but stored and unbound iron is reactive; it feeds oxidative stress. The body moves iron using copper-dependent ceruloplasmin and vitamin A, which is why we focus on whole-food copper and retinol rather than pushing more iron. If you are considering iron, test your levels first and talk it through with your practitioner. Iron is not right for everyone.

FAQ
How is this different from the adult version?
Ten herbs rather than twenty, and it leaves out the two harshest: cascara sagrada, removed by FDA from over-the-counter laxative use in 2002, and wormwood. It still contains yellow dock, black walnut, cloves, and cayenne.
Why is it sized by weight instead of age?
Gram amounts are not printed on the label; ask us for them if you need to check against anything else your child takes.
Does garlic make it gentle?
That doesn't make the whole formula gentle - the rest are adult-studied herbs scaled by weight. Treat it as a supervised routine.
What if my child reacts?
Stop and call their provider. With a tree nut in the blend, any rash, swelling, or breathing change should be treated as a possible allergic reaction. Persistent vomiting, severe abdominal pain, or diarrhea that doesn't settle are also stop signals.
Can we do our flush and theirs at the same time?
No. Separate the adult and kids routines by one month. And if you are breastfeeding, wait until the baby is at least 2 years old before either of you starts.
Pairs well with
- Herbal Flush for Adults — the grown-up version - run it a month apart from theirs, never alongside
- Electrolyte Powder — fluids and minerals alongside and between rounds
- Salt of Life — trace minerals at meals, on the food side of the gap
Cautions
- Contains black walnut (a tree nut) and fenugreek (a legume). Skip it if your child is allergic to either; email us for the modified recipe. Stop and seek care for any rash, swelling, or breathing change.
- Keep the powder out of reach between doses. Store in a cool, dry cupboard. Strong shelf life; no refrigeration required.
Lab Tested
Every product. COA on request, ~2 weeks.
Small Batch
Made in small batches, about as close to homemade as a capsule gets.
